Q: Do I need an appointment to visit?

This temporary site does not publish opening hours or an appointment policy. Please call or message Lumière before travelling so someone is available to show you the material you are interested in.

Q: Do you work with the trade?

Yes — architects, interior designers, fabricators, builders and developers. Send drawings, a finish schedule or a photograph and Lumière will respond with what is relevant.

This temporary site does not state live availability. Send the material name and Lumière can confirm the current status.

Q: Can I see a slab before it is fabricated?

That is the reason the showroom exists. Slabs are shown whole, and can be lit from behind where the material is translucent.

The showroom

Photographs flatten stone. Depth, translucency and the way a vein turns only resolve at full size, under light, with the slab in front of you.

Lumière keeps full slabs standing and lit, so you can walk the length of a piece, see it backlit, and compare two candidates side by side before anything is committed to a drawing.

Two halves of one block, opened like a page.

A bookmatched pair is cut from the same block and mirrored, so the pattern runs continuously across the join. Lumière keeps pairs together and will light them so you can see how the figure reads at full height.
